     "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory," is taken from the Lord's Prayer, words, which originally occur in I Chronicles XXIX: 11.  In the closing chapters of I Chronicles, King David's days as ruler over Israel are drawing to a close and he has already designated his son Solomon to succeed him.  In  I Chronicles XXIX: 11-15, King David is praying and giving thanks for the blessedness of his reign.  Note his reference to
